block and paint question

i got most of my crud from my head gasket, but yet there are like little chunks that will like not come off easily and was woundering what good tools or whatever i could use to get the little hard stuff off with? oh and i need ideas on what i should paint my block, i wanted white but i hear it turns yellow

i went black. hope it turns out. i used gas but messed me up :aigo: . havent get to try it yet wondering how it will hold up to the heat?

Soak it with WD40 over night and use a plastic scraper...break cleaner on the hard areas. Do not use anything that will scratch the head or block and don't use a scotchbright pad...unless, that is, you are going to deck both ;)

White would be nasty in a month...I used hi-temp engine paint...black.

yeah i guess i will just have to do black, im glad my brother is a good painter he will help me out quite a bit with that, but yeah i never thought of brake cleaner... niice i like that, lol

I like the orange concept or red lol like the old school muscle heads, always do black or body color unless its white like mine white is horrible my engine bay is so dirty I needa clean it lol
