Blitz Intake

What do you guys think of the blitz sus power intake? Not the blue one but the big shiny gold one. Is anyone here using it? Thought i'd ask here before placeing the order.

I believe most people on here use the apexi and k&n filters. I looked at the blitz they seemed pricey compared to the other two

i used to use the blitz, i liked it myself. despite my thoughts on it the test's data shows that the apex filter out flows it slightly and outfilters it by far.

i lived with the price because of the material. since it was stainless steel mesh it had the indefinite service life like the apex, but it was 100 ss, which seemed a bit more durable.

in hindsight, for filtration reasons, apex seems the route to go. unless you just like the way the stainless filter looks...:biglaugh:

hmm does anyone know exactly how accurate the testing was? mainly in the filtration data...any other first hand comparisons?

Looks like they used the SMF, then the Blitz, the K&N and finally the Apexi on the same patch of dirt

Ive been running the blitz now for around 5-6yrs.(2000-2001 i got it)
Love the induction sound and had no problems with filtration.
Its not gold but stainless in color.
When i wash it the water actually collects on the top and sides as it cant flow in the tiny holes.
Some people like to have cotton/paper/foam filters that need oiling to trap the smaller particles of dirt but ive had no problem with mine.
