how do you guys usually bleed your brakes on the MKIII? i did the method of pumping brakes 3-4 times and while down i open the bleeder screw.....and close it after fluid flows out.....but i did it and the pedal is still spongy....i did all rotors and pads...and flush out the system using the above bleeding method and of course ihad someone helping me pump pedeal while doing this....do you guys think there still some kind of air trap in the system? help please thanks

contrary to popular belief that is the WRONG way to bleed brakes...

PUMPING the brake is incorrect...you are simply building more air in the brakes when you pump the brake....

the correct way is to push the brake down ONCE...hold...open valve close valve...pump once again....open valve close valve... on the valve should be a hose and the hose should go into a cup or whatnot of liquid...you continue the one pump process until you no longer see bubbles coming from the hose in the liquid....

you should start at the rear passenger brake, then rear driver, then fron passenger, then finally front driver...

it might take a few rounds to get it perfect but thats the CORRECT process...

think about this, when the piston goes back in it is kind of sucking the fluid back aswell right? so if youhavethevalve open you have the potential to suck air back in along with it.

but what i'm saying is pumping the brakes while valve is closed....no potential of air sucking back in right?

I bought a Lisle Vac pump and a one man bleeder kit and it worked perfectly!

It's more fun to have your wife do the brake pumping while you turn the bleeder. Hehe that was funny. It was the first time she helped me with the car.
