black plastic levers in door jamb

Hey guys does anybody know what the black plastic levers in body door jamb are for 1987 n/a supra ?

turbo activation. if the doors aint shut it holds the wastegate open so you cant build boost


actually, its for the seatbelts, when you open the door they pull tight so you dont slam the belt in the door.
