Black 91 Turbo

I picked up this 91 turbo supra about 2 weeks ago, its been my dream to have a supra since i can pretty much read lol. Body looks great, interior is good, has corbeau racing seats in it, the engine isn't in the car.. yup. I picked it up with the engine taken apart because the previous owner thought they'd do a rebuild. I'm 18 and believe i can get it done with some help from here and others. My daily/previous project was a 1997 toyota avalon. It was s/ced at 4psi w/ just some other bolt-ons all done by me at 17 on a sunday afternoon :icon_bigg: I need some parts, some i don't know what i need but my goal is sometime spring to have the supra running!

any general ideas as to how much a a340 trans can hold?

Plans for now (some are being done next week or end of week) I want a lot done but also $ is holding me back so i'm not getting best i can get..

1) Clean block bore/hone cylinders .020 over and get npr pistons rings etc off DM
2) check to see if my head needs to be decked (previous owner said it has been)
3) assemble motor for now. I don't want to go passed about 600-700 in extra parts. I still need new brakes all around and other little things.
4) current mods i have - 3in catback, k/n short ram looking intake, 3in downpipe, some mhg, arp studs/bolts.
5) i have a lex afm off a 1st gen ls400 looking to get some 550's after i get the motor done
6) is there a way i can figure out what mhg i have? all these extras came with the car so idk what i got.
7) i plan going r154 next winter when i put car away in garage. i don't plan on driving it through winter =P

welcome, looks like a nice starting point

my buddy lives out in chicago, he came home for the holidays thinking it would be somewhat warmer and we get 2 feet of snow haha

keep a eye on the for sale or area, you could probably pick up a fairly cheap r154
