So Ive read up on this quite a bit but it'd lay my mind to rest a biot if I ran this across some of you that have already done this.

This part replaces the part on the bottom of the shifter..Did you guys just pull it off ..cut it or what?
It doesnt seem to really want to come off very easily.

Im guessing this is where the bronze piece goes.
The rubber seems very firm and intact, any easy way to get it out ?

I just installed mine. You have to pull the inner metal ring out of the rubber piece, as well as chesel away all the rubber, but leave the outer metal ring in place, then you epoxy the brass bushing in that place. If you look at the installation instructions Billy posted in his thread you will understand it pretty easily. Makes a big difference by the way worth the money!

ok thats done, Onto the next issue. =/

I replaced the slave cylinder and master clutch cylinder along with the SS line that goes to the slave..On the end that you connect the hose to the actual slave cylinder its leaking..Its completely tightened down and I still have a leak.First instinct tells me to wrap it in plumbers tape & it should hold But i'd like to do it right if I can.Was I suppose to get a copper o - ring with the hose for that end?

heres a pic..Its the end that is disconnected.

I found my dilemma, I got the micrometer out and the slave cylinder inlet
[From DM]is 11.2 deep the the threaded part on the DM SS hose is 10.01
So...Thats why Its not bottoming out..Its running out of thread room.

Can't wait till I get around to putting the rest of my SS hoses on.

lol, Yea..No joke. These SS clutch lines are hardly fun to do in the first place but to do 3 and 4 times trying to figure out what the issue out def is not fun.I mean its just one MM but I just got an OEM replacement and it was 13mm deep in tread and no leaking so that has to be it.

Hmm...I have that hose also with a new cylinder and nothing's leaking.
Once though, I lost the mastercyl reservoir full of clutch fluid. Just like that ( I think at least, didn't check it probably so couple a weeks before it happened)... wonder if that could be it?

I had this problem with a clutch line from Driftmotion a long time ago. Sucks that it is still happening. Mine was the long one and it leaked at the master. Nice when brake fluid is dripping into your engine bay...

I had the same problem.....but it was my master clutch cylinder. Aaron told me to put a nut onto the stainless steel braid cable tread, then file the treads off at the front. Removing the nut will retread the ends. For some reason, some master have deeper depth which ever cast the company decides to use.

I'd blame the slave cylinder company if anything. I see this problem on all aftermarket brake and clutch hydraulics all the time. It's like the casting companies just don't give a crap if the parts will fit the car, they just want to sell them to you. Once I got a master cylinder that didn't even have any of the ports drilled out or threaded.
