bigger tired mess with speedometer?

If u put bigger tires on a car, will your speedometer be off? I heard of this idk if its true. If it is true how do u fix it?

You can have it recalibrated for the bigger wheels. Yes it does have an effect on speedometer and also smaller than stock size has the ssame effect.

You have a choice of driven gears from Toyota and for large changes you can get a ratio correction box that goes in between the upper and lower cables.

How can you get such a box? Sounds like a cool idea, in addition to the drive gear.

i just got new gear for mine work fine wiht my 4.30's

I thought what I had was a new gear when i did my 4.30 swap. turns out its the same one; and since I don't have money to buy all new gear oil I guess I'm just going to have to wait until the next maintenance interval.
