bigger tired mess with speedometer?

If u put bigger tires on a car, will your speedometer be off? I heard of this idk if its true. If it is true how do u fix it?

Yes it will alter the indicated speed!

You have a choice of driven gears from Toyota and for large changes you can get a ratio correction box that goes in between the upper and lower cables.

How can you get such a box? Sounds like a cool idea, in addition to the drive gear.

I thought what I had was a new gear when i did my 4.30 swap. turns out its the same one; and since I don't have money to buy all new gear oil I guess I'm just going to have to wait until the next maintenance interval.
