well i was working on my mk3, as about 75% of us were most likely doing:biglaugh: . i've had an annoying as hell exhaust leak coming from the headers for like a week... one of those annoying "tah tah tah tah tah".. well after i ighten up the bolts... theres one missing by the way, the one right under the distributer. and i dont have any bolts so i wasted my time, so while i was putting everything back together (heat shield and intake)again, i thought "let me check my radiator fluid" so i took off the cap... but i forgot to screw it all the way down because i went to do something else. well the next day on my way to work i start smelling oil and right before i pull up to my bank my car turns off, I thought it was gas because it was pretty low as well. After trying to start it for a cpl minutes it starts. Alot of smoke(oil) appears to be coming from the valve covers i think. Well I put gas after work and start driving to a friends house and the smae thing happened, just shuts off in the middle of the street with rush hour traffic behind me. Oil smoke is coming through the shifter and coming from the pedals. i see smoke coming from the sides of the hood. smells like oil. well it finally starts after a cpl of minutes of starting it. i finsih driving to my friends house thats only like a 2 blocks a way. shuts off again when i pull up to the drive way. well i start inpecting it trying to figure out whats wrong finally realizing hat its not gas. idiot. well i strat looking around and squeeze the radiotor hose to see if theres pressure... no pressure... touch the radiator... no even warm..im thinking .." f**king water pump again" well then i touch the cap and its loose... im in total shock thinking how can i do something to stupid.... well it started fine a cpl hours later and this morning as well.... i wanted to be specific with this and i can get the right diagnosis from u guys.... :1zhelp: what happened and am i going to see big problems later???:3d_frown: my fingers hurt
