well i just got my 1J swap running in my 87 recently and i went to go drive it today to make sure it runs ok before my friend comes over to give it a lil tune on my afc. well going out of my neighborhood (1/4 mile to the gate) i can drive it just fine, no probs, can boost fine and all. but once i leave the neighborhood, in any gear i get a nasty cutting out, the car will cut out to where it does nothing even when i push the pedal to the floor. then all of a sudden itll jerk back on run for a sec, then cutout again doesnt backfire or anything when it does it. zoon and i thought it might be too much fuel for no tune, so i took out my mines ecu and 440 injectors and put in the stock ecu and injectors. still cut out after that. so i checked all the coil packs, they all are working fine. before i drive it while it idles i can rev it to redline if i want with no cutting, but when i bring it back after trying to drive it, i cant rev it while the car is sitting. so were thinking that it might be the fuel pump or the FPR (ive got a walbro 255 and a stock FPR for now) that might have taken a dump. was wondering if anyone on here might have an idea on this?
