Big hissing sound coming from engine bay...no boost?

Ok - first off, is your car stock?
Second, are your hoses from the factory, or have they been replaced?
If you are driving a stock vehicle, with 15 year old IC hoses, then chances are you have leaks in your accordian hose from the turbo to the air filter, on the hose that comes off the turbo heading for the intercooler, and very likely the coupler that goes from your 3000 pipe to your throttle body.
The plastic pieces - both the small elbow on the top and the piece that threads through the fenderwall are also both subject to cracking.
The $5 boost leak tester will find all of these in short order.
