anyone have this rerouted wastegate ddp? How much less noisy is it? is the power gains the same between the open wastegate and rerouted wastegate. id assume the normal open dp would have a slight advantage when it comes to overall power. true?

i think he is asking about the ones that are run back in to the pipe.. not just a dump..

i think the whole idea is to eliminate the noise from the wastegate by rerouting it into the exhaust.. it may not be as beneficial as the dump, but it is definitely better than no divorce at all.. should sound close to the same as a regular dp i would say..

I don't know if it is or not, but I can tell you the open dp is quite loud. At least it is on mine. It will however make your turbo spoool alot quicker. I went from 12 psi, to 18 psi and my manual boost controller can't handle it. I am probably going to go to a ebc to help keep it under control. Good luck.

ive never heared a bic ddp in person, only through my computer. so i really dont knoe how loud it can get. from what i hear it can get really loud but sound so nice at the same time. being too loud is what gets to me. its why im asking how much more quieter is the one with the re-routed open wastegate back into the dp. I rarely race my supra, usually shifting at 2000 rpm every gear, and rarely going wot. will my driving habits with a open dp (not re routed) still be consdered loud. right now all i have is a supra store test pipe. the rest of my exhaust is stock.

The rerouted DDP is quiet, well it will sound the same as any other 3" downpipe. I havent dyno tested the rerouted version, but it will definatly make more power than a standard 3" dp but not as much as the externally venting DDP. The DDP made 28 rwhp more than the standard 3" BIC DP, when I did the dyno testing on a stock car with 3" exhaust. It would probably be close to 40-50 hp over a car with stock exhaust.

The beauty of the DDP is it's no louder then a normal downpipe until you boost it, and if you reroute the ddp it won't be louder then a regular dp. I got used to the sound of externally vented wastegate pretty quick, I'm actually wishing it was louder.

28 rwhp gain over a normal 3" dp sounds about right. I went from an AMS O2 housing + RT 3" downpipe to the BIC DDP and could definitely feel the difference.
