In few more days I'm going to get a coolant tester so I hope it's not a blown head gasket even though some guys from driftmotion came to check my supra (Thanks a lot guys) and told me about some problems such as exhaust leak from the manifold, old engine harness, tps, afm, valve seals and the damn bhg. There's no oil in the coolant yet. The only reason that i bought this supra was because of the warranty. The engine had been rebuilt 15,000 miles ago and now I have this problems I did not overboost it. Now I'm having some problems with ATK company about my warranty. The owner paid $3550 for the rebuilt without the turbo. I could've swapped a jdm engine or maybe a 1jz. Now they want me to take it to a shop pay first and then they're going to investigate if it was their fault. If they're not going to pay for it I'm going to put a 1jz instead.

I hope your handy with a wrench cause a 1jz requires alot of attention. If you couldn't deal with a 7M your gonna hate a 1jz.

Also, in a heavy car like a MKiii the small displacement 1jz has to pull alot of revs to make it happen (read this buzzy and tough to drive around town with a 5 speed).

I must say alot of guys love the 1jz but I know personally of other guys who didn't like the less then torquey, high reving and somewhat finicky 1jz.

I'm not crapping on the 1jz, I'm just saying the 7m is a great motor in it's own right and you may want to give it another look.

Oh I almost forgot:
I was in the car bussiness for many years as was my father and I can tell you for sure that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so fight these guys tooth and nail and insist on them honoring the warranty. If there is someone above the person your dealing with go to them and complain and demand your warranty be honored. And keep going up the ladder of whatever company you're dealing with. When you can go no further in the chain of command at this company threaten and go to the bureau of auto repair or better bussiness bureau or consumer affairs (I'm assuming you have a legitimate claim). If you do all this and don't get the warranty honored I'd be shocked! I've seen big big companys roll over for questionable claims just cause they don't want the heat. Be Tough! Good luck.
