how likely is it that i washed out my rod bearings and scored the rods when blowing my head gasket? i pulled the valve covers and have tons of milky sludge on my cams and head. also i have what looks like rust deposits on the lobes of my cams....

Sludge? Sounds like it to me. Time for an oil and filter change.

How long was it driven like this? But I'm with IJ...there's probably a good chance...is it knocking at all?

i quit driving as soon as i saw smoke... it isnt knocking at all...

Inspect the main and rod bearings and the crank. You should find no scoring. If you do, replace the bearings. If the cranck is scored, take it to a machine shop for repolishing (not sure that's the correct term, but the machine shop should be able to remove the scoring from the crank, if there are any).
