Ill start off by saying Ive searched through about 30 pages of different post lol I hate to repost something as common as this. But I was driving to work this morning noticed it started up rough so I let it warm up for a bit got bout half way to work when I notice the car was not pulling whatsoever, I got worried so I didnt try to push the car since it is my DD. Got to work and popped the hood notice there was white smoke coming from behind the engine. temp gauge was fine the whole way. My car litterally sounds like my friends WRX at an idle the car started vibrating more than normal as well :nono: on my break from work I checked the oil cap no white mayo ect checked dipstick oils clean, resivoir is full radiator fluid is good no nasty stuff. Could this be a BHG? Im stuck at work so Im just stuck thinking about my baby( detailed her yesterday ironicly). She is a 90s NA with about 170k was owned by 1 person before me with reg maint (older gentleman) very well taken car of.

Got my car home compression is good first thing I did when I got home thanks for the response! Turned out to be the spark plug wires, ordered some NGKs today.

Im not sure why, that is a good question I removed #6 and there was water in there so I blew it out with an air compresser when removed the wire all the rubber was falling apart deff not OEM wires so replacing with NGK my dad was the one that told me the wires were no good, found out the clamp for my muffler went out so it was leaking from the connection which would explain why it sounded like a suburu Im guessing.

Edit, also checked the distributor no water in that but it is leaking oil so looks like I need a rebuild kit or Idk if they sell them new?

yep, thats probably your smoking issue. I would definitely make sure you find out where that water is coming from. Looks like you found a bunch of little fixes all at once, lucky you. As for the distributor, buy a reman and find a warranty if you can. No sense in rebuilding one, they are cheap enough.

Check the freeze plugs that run along the head in the spark plug galley. A leaky one could foul the nearest spark plug well with coolant. Happened to me, and my car sounded like it would miss intermittently.

Im guessing the water came from when I washed my car, I must have gotten water through my hood when it was open spraying the roof from the rear :3d_frown: but I used a compressor to blow out the water and thats how I also found out I need new wires. recomendations on where can I find a reman? Yea I got pretty lucky lol but thats how it usually goes when I fix "one" thing ends up being a little more.
