I have been sitting on a bunch of parts for a while and decided to finally install them. I was pretty much stock, just an ETS intercooler and exhaust setup.
She started out like this
after some work, looked like this:
started doing this:
had this stuff laying around :naughty:
The plan was to get my GT35r on as soon as finals were over. While test fitting the manifold, ran into clearance issues with the stock filter head:
solution: full flow oil system! Figured I might as well go all out.
I stuffed the largest Tru-cool cooler I could find behind the intercooler. This was probably the most time consuming part, so far, in the installation process. That, and the pushlock fittings. I've never felt so weak in my life
machined canton adapter:
and then disaster struck!
This is why you should never lend expensive stuff. Lesson learned. Guess it kinda worked out, as now I needed a vband turbine housing to deal with firewall clearance issues with the downpipe.
the new turbo, with billet wheel goodness
still test fitting and clocking. I'm hoping this wont be a problem
the oil drain is super close to the manifold flange
will post more once my thermostat gets here and I can get the camera to take more than 3 pictures before it dies
