what are some turbo set ups for our cars, witch ones are better than others, is the horse power freaks turbo kit any good, and how do the horsepower freaks compare to the sound preformance bolt on turbo kits, what would be a good size for a stock 7mgte, i want fast spool but good top end and 500+ possible horse, im looking for a turbo kit and was all for the horsepoer freaks 61 mm but the price is well alot so im also looking at the sp turbos i also want to know what else is out there, what would work best with a stock supra and be able to grow enough to make some power?

Thee perfect matching turbos for the 7m-gte are the 66-67mm turbos. Don't ask me why 'cause I forgot :D Something about the compressor maps perfectly match the displacement or something like that.

if you want 500+hp, fast spool, and good top-end with room to grow, you're going to have to drop the coin and go with a big single kit. the 61-63mm's will be what you're looking for.

oh and IMO all shops like hpf, sp, and so on... their turbo kits are all basically the same.

also does the tubular header in the horsepower freaks turbo kit make a diffrence compared to using the stock exhaust manifold in the sp bolt on kits, and whats the advantage or disadvatage of the 3.5 inch down pipe in the hpf kit compared to the 3 inch down pipe.

Yes and Yes.
HPF actually used my Trust header to make sure that there are NO fitment issues with their header, they also clocked the turbo a little differently than most of the greddy knock off headers so that you can run a 3.5 inch downpipe.
Bigger exhaust, especially right off of the turbo makes a Huge difference.
Also their header has a lifetime warrenty against cracks and is SS321.
I think their kit is up there with SP's full to4 kit, which is an awesome work of art in itself.
Tubular spools much faster than cast. It's been preven many times, sr20s, hondas, supras too.
