I'm tearing the engine out in the winter to get it refreshend. Doing the usually 7mgte rebuild with mhg and arp

I'm shoot for 400 to 500 hp

So far I'm gather parts I got

Intercooler, hard pipes, greddy bov, exhaust, intake and wideband/boost gauges in the car now

I have these parts waiting to be dropped in all at once

Bigger radiator,
Mk4 fuel pumps
Lexus/ 550
Fpr
Safc neo

All I need is a turbo. What are my other options other them a 57 trim I know that will get me to right under 400 what other turbos out there will get me past 400 I don't want a 60 trim ct26 to unreliable

I want something that will pull through the high rpms. And I know my stock ct26 doesn't do shit past 5300 rpms

you could try getting the boss bolt on that supras port sells or look at sound performance and they sell bolt on precision turbos but you won't get as much power or the spool as you would from a t4..
it's hard to get past 400 on a stock motor with those upgrades unless you have one hell of a tune
with the 57 trim you may have to go as high as 18 psi..but getting better internals and a t4 turbo will definitely get you to your goals

and t4 and t3 turbos you'll easily get tht an they're universal turbos so you won't have get "mk3" specific parts or "ct26" specific parts
but if you don't care to much about quality and don't want to spend the money get a 60-1 turbo from cxracing for the mk3 that'll do it
and for a 57 trim with your mods you'd be at like 350-380 maybe even a little more depending on tune and the amount of boost

Ya I know anything over 400 forged pistons is a good idea. I was looking at probes and for 500 bucks it's well worth it. I wanna do it right once.

I was looking at maybe the dm t4 turbo kit also. I would rather buy a better turbo that I can keep stay at 400 hp and if I want more I turn the boost up a little. The 57 trim I would be maxing it out at 18psi ...

yeah and the 57 doesn't flow a very high volume you could hit the same hp with a bigger tubo at like 13 or 14 psi
my next upgrade is I'm going t4 and getting a precision 6262
so I can easily hit 400 but the turbo is good for 6-700 so I can just turn it up if I want

I was looking at the cx racing but it seems like when they had that huge thread about that turbo a couple of years ago they all had problems with the wastgate opening at like 5 psi and they had a other minor issue. If cx racing fixed those issues I would be all over it. Trying to find someone who bought one recently
