what would you guys say is the best stand-alone to run on a 1J? and who has the best prices on them?

i was talking to my friend george at a local shop and he said he could wire up my car (i got a soarer harness instead of a supra harness from the dousche i bought my motor from) but for the amount of work it would take to do that he could just as easily do a stand-alone like a haltech

just wondering what yalls opinion is on them

thanks

If you look in this months Super Street magazine, they have a few stand alones listed along with some piggy backs. Good write up and there are some new players on the market as well.
I think Driftmotion is also selling a unit for under a $1000 dollars.
MS is a bargain if you can build the unit from parts supplied.

MS is a little bit of a bitch to get working with the 6 COP ignition system though.

I run an HKS F-Con V-Pro on m car. It's an amazing system, but it also has an amazingly huge price tag associated with it.

Haltec is excellent! I have a haltec ek6 and if im in a worst case senario im going to have to put her in and fine tune the beast this coming up season but hopfully not because im broke as a joke from buying mods. My bro is using the same standalone on his kick ass JZA80 AND PUSHED OUT 898 TO THE WHEELS.
