I am currently in the middle of a 2JZ swap, and need a new clutch kit. I will be keeping the R154 tranny, and be using the 1JZ flywheel. I just didn't know which clutch kit is the best one for the money. I really don't want to spend $800 on a set, but I know you get what you pay for....so the crack head $100 set is out. lol.
As of this moment plans for HP are a T70 turbo, and Blitz NuR exhaust. Not trying to break any records in HP, but would like a respectable 500 minimum in the long run. So the clutch would need to be able to handle that.

Please, let's keep this on topic also. If your not posting about a clutch setup, or advise on a manufacturer that is reliable, then don't waste the time posting here.

I've got an ACT stage 3 from Driftmotion. After a lot of reading, I determined that it was most appropriate for my power goals (~400 RWHP) and driving style. It was the cheapest that I'd trust to hold that power.

I bought an eBay "F1" clutch. The pressure plate was indistinguishable from stock painted blue, though I couldn't really see anything wrong with the 6 puck disk that it came with, and the bearings were all OEM Toyota. By comparison, I could see the upgraded spring to the ACT pressure plate, giving me a much higher level of confidence. Yes, the eBay clutch was less than half the price, but in the end, I never installed it.
