Once I get the head reinstalled and the intercooler piping done I could do a g-tech dyno run LOL ;)

I think there is power t0 be had from them, the 1jz guys are pick up something like 78 over all hp and 141 more hp at 7800 rpm's.

But yes I would also like to see a dyno sheet using stock vs 272

I don't have the 272 cams, but I'm going to be dynoing with my BC264's within the next couple of weeks. I can tell you the topend pull is huge while scarificing a bit of low end. So I would think the 272's would be similar. And I can't imagine anyone having to keep the stock redline with those cams.

I did cams and oversize valves at the same time.

Total it made about 15% more power at the same boost everywhere and a little more than that above 6k.... you really need to rev it to about 7300+ to make good use though.

internals could be stock low mileage or fresh rebuild. You need valve springs and everything needs to be in place.

I did compare a before and after dyno graph at one point when the car was getting tuned.

Although one went to five k rpm, and another went to 7400ish. Still, after the head and cams I think hp around the 5k mark had increased a hair over 50hp at the same 15 psi. Well worth the money in my opinion. Seems the turbo also spooled just a HAIR sooner.

So dose anyone have know or have a ballpark area where to set my AEM cam grars at with my BC 272 cams? Or has any one set up a set of 272 cams and be willing to share with us where you set them at? I believe it calls out for 8 degrees of overlap. Sorry I also do not have a dyno in my garage :( 1 mark on gears = 2 degrees of timing)

For anyone that dosent know my set up here it is fresh form my builder. Lower end - Probe .040 over pistions, h-beam connecting rods, lightened crank, entire lower end balance with in 1/2 gram.
Head - full port-polish, BBC comp cam springs, 1mm larger valves, 272 cams, ( know I made it a valve smashing motor now ) aem cam gears.

Also gixxer750 what are you using to raise your rev limiter? You full standalone? I think I will have raise mine some day soon, (after fuel system is addressed that is)

I come from a land down under
The Cams should have come with a timing tag you need to degree them on your motor to find out where their true 0-0 point is before you can "adjust" them for a different performance curve.

Trust me on this getting this right can make a HUGE difference in performance as a 4 degree change I made after the Dyno on Monday has transformed my car on the exact same Fuel and Ignition map.
