Basically just what the title says. Im doing the headgasket on my 1990 turbo 5 speed. While the head is off and bare, im thinking about going with some new cams. Will the Brian Crower 264 degree cams work with the stock ecu? Im evidently not very good at searching, because i couldnt find a thread that talked about this.

Yes you may want a piggy back to tune your wot though. I'm running bc stage 3 on a stock ecu but I run lean wot until I can install my standalone. I don't drive it running lean though lol just just noticed it was lean. It just takes some adjustments to get a smooth idle.

What Bryan said. I am currently running the same cams as you until I can afford to go full stand alone. I am even running stock cam gears at the moment and all I have had to really do so far is adjust fuel pressure and the idle slightly. Now I am switching to adjustable gears and I am going to degree the cams once I get the car back.

Yes, you can run it. You'll need adjustable cam gears to get it to idle like stock since the stock ECU has no adjustments for such mod. Once you go standalone though, you can make 280 cams idle almost like stock.
