As some of you know, I failed my tech inspection at the drags 2 weeks ago cause i didnt have my battery strapped down. I cant find the damn things for the life of me, I think I threw them away when I first bought the car last year:icon_razz Anyone have any suggestions for strapping it down to the drag tech nazi's likings? Junk yards are out of the question because mkIIIs don't die.

they die.
go to your local autozone or kragen or shucks or o'rly?s or etc etc and get a universal battery hold down.
Either that or 935 sells a sweet anodized one.

I haven't ever bought a supra with the factory tiedowns :p Both of mine had the battery just chilling on the plate, can you use some sort of strap maybe? Like those heavy duty ones that rock climbers use. Just a fast thought.

I was just kidding about the dying part:icon_razz Damn I didnt think the first person to reply would catch that lol. There isnt THAT many supras around to collect in a junk yard here. Also, I've been to shops, they all looked at my car and said the straps they carry wouldnt work, its too tight of a fit. *hint hint to them, it doesnt need them then* :icon_bigg

Make one from some of that very stiff galvanized metal that has a bunch of pre-drilled holes in it,....from hardware store. Costs like 99 cents. You can get the long bolt and nut and the 6mm bolt at the auto parts store for 3 bucks.
