What is required for a basic tune up?
I guess the normal replacement of spark plugs, but how often should the plug wires be replaced? Timing checked? Assorted crap need to be adjusted, and if so,what?

I would suggest you buy at least a haynes manual or equivalent(or a TSRM) before you undergo much work on the car. These will also have all the intervals, and items for scheduled maintenance in them

na.was'nt me!
I know all the other stuff needs to be replaced like the oil and filter, but i talked to a tech a few months ago and he said some shops just replace the plugs and wires and call it a tune up.
I know mine is burning fuel, and was curious as to what might be suggested.
Perhaps timing and some other crap
