Barbacks/Bartenders?

Any of them on here? I need more money. This seems like a good way to make some weekend or nighttime cash. Any suggestions on how to apply or get into it?

dont say a school cause I dont want to pay for it, and every bartender I've talked to said its a joke.

Bartending for dummies. Get that book, read 10 -20 pages and your ready. Most newer bars have a digital sales register that tells you what is in the drink anyhow. Local corner bar is the easiest to work in. College bar or super busy large nightclubs suck. i call those jobs speed tending, not bartending. just walk in and say I want a job.

Do read the book Rich mentioned. Most of what you will make will be pretty standard, depending on where you work.
Bartending is fun, and ok money too. If I did it again, it would be on an island, somewhere south.

Nope, did not go. In the middle of a turbo upgrade. If I ever bartend again, it will be in my own place.

Try picking up a book and learning the terms and mixes. Then try getting as much experience as possible (i.e., friends, parties, etc.). From there you can apply with your experience in your resume or on the app.

oh, i had to tend bar once, the club in the otel that the old lady managed had everyone call in on a friday night

turned into cyote ugly night...if it wasn't beer oor whiskeyyou didn't get it...i jjust didn't have any hot babes to dance onn the bar.....weak
