bad turbo?

I hope some of you guys out there can help me. I am not sure if my turbo is bad and I dont know how to tell what the signs are. I get a lot of smoke when I come to a stop and sometimes while driving. I know it isnt the hg or the valves as I replaced those already.

That sure sounds like a bad turbo seal......search and you'll find tons of this question!

pull the accordian hose and pull back and forth on the front of the compressor shaft, if it moves in the front to rear direction (mine was 1/8th of an inch) at all it is likely to be going bad. best to pull it while you can still possibly rebuild it. mine smoked when i let off and coasted then gave it gas (mosquito fogger).

What color is the smoke?

Don't want to jump to any conclusions yet...but a typical sign of a turbo at least "going" bad is gobbs of smoke on either deceleration or after boosting.
As jdub said, figure out what color the smoke is first. Blue, white.....purple, chrome.
