hi guyes i made a compression test ratio today here is it...
i made it from the front to the back cylinder so if ur standing in front of the car the closest is #1 and the one close to the firewall is #6...
#1 150
#2 160
#3 160
#4 160
#5 155
#6 145
a mechanic told me to try something ...(he told me to put a LITTLE bit of oil in the cylinder im checking so it will help the ring to seal if hes not...ive put like 10 ml of oil in cylindes number one and 6 and they give me 180-185 compression... so my rings are gone??

I just got:

1- 150
2- 155
3- 150
4- 155
5- 150
6- 150

I'm out to go throw some oil in the cylinders and see what happens, my plugs were all oily, wish me luck :(

ehm ... yeah it will be a 60 000km engine... and ill make a rebuilt on it so everything is gotta be alright :p
huh? you mean its a rebuilt engine with 60,000 km? or you think its a 60,000km JDM motor that you will rebuild. there are no such things for option because sinply do the math, they haven't made a 7M since 92 and even then they had very little runs.

many reason....
1- for 1200$ i can get a jdm low mileage one....
2- with the jdm one i will have a lot of spare parts just in case...
3- i need another wiring harness that come with the jdm one...
4- ill get a 60k kilometer ct-26 that i will sell...
5- i think my head has already been machined 3 times...i cant really machine it more...

1- There is no such thing
2- Not bad but then again, who really reuses old parts?
3- Same as part B,cept you could acutlaly buy one chepa here
4- okay, then add the 1400 you have to spend to get it, and ontop of that its there is no such thing as a 60,000 km engine...
5- Refurbished head?

If your talking about a 7m-gTE engine.. I 've seen them go for REAL DIRT CHEAP!

1- try $650 in toronto area with a turbo and harness/ECU. I've them go for usually 650-800 including shipping or + shipping. (Usually shipping would be $100 or so, that is the shop delivering it).
4- I highly doubt the engines that old will be around 60,000km. I'd say they are usually close to 100,000km, but better than friggn 300,000km etc.

They need rebuilds anyway so it all depends. Make one mod to those old motors and the HG is gone. The only benefit is you can rebuild the jdm motor and still drive your car.

Sounds like some of you might not of had somebody hold the throttle body open when you were cranking the car. I did the same mistake.

i didn't know that. I didn't. The numbers may have been off but it was still right about low compression on 1 cylinder. but ill remember that
