Ok, so I was driving down the road one day and started smelling smoke. All of the sudden smoke started coming out of my AC vents. I've seen freon mist before and this wasn't it. Then last night the right side of my stock tach and the left side of my speedometer went dark. Has anybody experienced these problems before or know of somebody who has?

How sure are you that it was smoke? What color was it? Did it smell like coolant, oil, or anything you can identify? More info is helpful. Your dash lights may be unrelated, since lightbulbs have a tendency to burn out over time.

...your description is kinda vague. I would suggest you pull the cluster out tho and take a look. Maybe it's a short in the wiring deal attached to it... Thing is, if it's a simple, fixable short and you don't pull the cluster out to see... you may be risking a real fire (if power's still going to an exposed wire).

It definately was smoke. But I didn't recognize the smell. It kinda smelled like wire but not completely. Definately didn't smell like oil. I know that it isn't refregerant because the compressor is still working. But I have figured it out now. It was the fan motor. It finally quit working.
