He's a liar and a fucking idiot for driving that damn fast on a residential street. That's somebody's back yard he crashed into. Thank God that neighborhood has a fancy brick wall surrounding it, or else he could have easily plowed through somebody's house. He could have killed somebody.

He was either racing somebody, or just plain hauling ass then lost control. I had a friend try to tell me that his steering locked up when he ran into somebody's house. It was raining that day. Later he fessed up that he was driving too fast. People always lie a say their car somehow malfunctioned when they were the cause.

While I agree with you for t he most part at 1:15, you can see the road, and the line in the middle is white, not yellow, which means there were 2 lanes in each direction, probably why that wall was there. I'd belive him if he said a tie rod let go or something but I don't know how a tire can just lock up.
As you said I think hes a liar and a fucking idiot.

In all seriousness, if he had been taking it easy, three tires is more than enough traction to keep the car under control and bring it to a stop, should one lock up.

The only two ways I could think of for a front wheel to totally lock up on a MkIII is a wheel bearing totally siezing up, or the brake piston jamming. The former, one would know is coming because it would wail like a banshee as you drove, long before siezing. The latter, the piston would jam where it was put when you were last on the brakes... so you'd push the brakes, the piston would jam, and as you let off you'd realize the brakes are jammed down and you could continue braking to a stop.

Logically, he's full of shit and needs to learn to drive.
