Hey guys I've been trying to get my HKS EVC III programed and its not going to well. I've done the programing 3 times, 3rd gear start three times in a row. Every time I get the same thing. I boost up to stock levels and then it keeps fluctuating between stock and where i set it and then it keeps going as I accelerate through my RPM range. For example I have it set to .47 bar and it will keep spiking up so that I have hit fuel cut around .6 or so. I bought the controller a few years ago used, and didn't get to put it in until recenetly. Is this a bad controller or is it possible I'm doing something wrong?

Ive got the same problem with my evcIII.

I even changed the filters with new ones.

Smoothed it out, but still no luck.

Ive also contacted HKS about it, and they give me the same BS every time.

A.) Sir you have the lines backwards
B.) Sir you have an electrical problem

BS on both. I think its just a pos.

Keep me/us posted on what you find.

I tried playing with the percentage offset going lower boost and trying to get it higher and vise versa but still no luck. I bought it used off ebay, i think I just got scamed. I'm gonna try a manual and see what I can do.

ya might even think about the stepping motor being wornout. ive seen that being a issue too. i have also heard of the evc's not being very supra friendly. i never had a problem though. just keep trying im sure youll figure it out.

is there anyway to get just a replacement for the solienoid?
i'm thinking its the stepping motor cause i've heard guys say they have had them go bad before and it causes the same thing i'm seeing. I'd like the EVC and don't really have the money to get a new electronic controller so if I can just get a replacement soleniod i'll go for that.
