What trans do you have in it now? Every transmission has a reverse light switch in it, on it, or around it. Take a minute and look at the TSRM for the given trans that you have. The TSRM will have the diagram showing where the reverse light switch is. should be able to hook it up to the existing chassis harness, unless the shop removed that for you.

It completely depends on how the shop wired the harness where the wires might be. I could tell you where they are in the glovebox, but from there out the shop could have wired them to anything. Also is the 1jz harness originally auto? If so, the wires are there but they are on a different plug.

The backup light switch connects to a two pin white connector on the transmission side of things, you should be able to find that under the car. Check below the intake manifold for a matching connector.

Alright, the passenger side of the trans is indeed the backup light switch. it has two wires coming from it. Red \ Black and is on the M1 Plug and the other is Positive for backup light switch Plus for Heater water valve VSV --------------- YELLOW BOTH are located on the M1 plug.. Hope this helps you..

if it does not go to my site these diagrams will help you!!

Correct about where the plug is, it then runs into your glove box it is not hard.

thanx that helps, so i just have to run the two wires from the tranny up to the M1 plug and then plug and play with wire 1 and 2 right?
