i just got back from my first track day with nasa the car setup is as follows

1989 supra na converted to turbo
7mge block and head with gte electtonics and hks MHG
stock IC
b&m oil cooler
koni dampeners
eibac springs
17X9 wheels with 255 khumo mx
st sway bars

i turned the boost back to stock to keep the stree relativly low

it was alot of fun but really stressfull on the car. i had brnad new brake pads in the front and wore them down past halfway i used up almost all of my rear metal masters (didnt have to much left anyway) and turned the front rotors blueish

the car definitly needs a PS cooler and brake ducting thats all in the works for the winter

as far as handleing i was suprised the springs did as well as they did because they are horriblely soft

i was able to keep up with people on full coilovers in the turns but i got walked on by almost everyone on the straight. despite carrying quite a bit more speed out of turn 10 than them

over all a good experience here are some pics

Cool man, another member bit by the bug :)
Yeah, at stock boost with the weight of the mk3 (and technology of newer cars) they're going to seem fast on a straight. The weight also makes it tough on pads. I've worn through some good pads quickly like that but I'm going to try out race pads this weekend as I've been told they can last many events. Do you monitor oil temps?

If you ever headed to VIR (NC/VA line) let me know.

I'll need a bigger tow vehicle before I can get down to those tracks. I feel for the Tacoma (98) more than a 2 hr. tow, the Supra outweighs it I believe. I'm still using the stock cooler but no oil temp gauge. Planning to add one this winter and maybe a new stock cooler. Seems to do ok though, I do alot of auto-x in Aug. that will see 12+ laps on 95 deg. days and there's little cool down (no cool down laps) I guess it depends on schedule of the events though, next one has 30 min. sessions, which is a lot more heat than the 20 min. ones I've done. Luckily it'll be Nov. and cold out.
