so im a fish keeper :) and a few nights ago i noticed that 2 of my cichlids were holding, so i waited till late lastnight and snuck them outta the tank and put them both in holding tanks, well i guess i did it at just the right time!!!

1 of my kenyi(sp?) just spit out about 10-15 babies, and my other momma is probably due within the day or so or atleast im hoping! so i can take her outta her lil holding cell and put her back in her home

if i had a camera worth a shit id take some pictures :)

they are soooo cute :)

Do you have like a big pond or is it an aquarium?

do the bigger babies/fish eat the smaller ones like some animals? We have a big giant spider living in our garage and she was super fat pregnant and now shes back to normal so i guess she poped em out lol. ive never actually seen spider babies. I heard they parachute away on web strands

depends on species....some spiders build a sack made of web and carry it around on their belly....some spiders such as a "black widow" will spin an eggsack and tie it to her clusterfuck web and guard it....when the eggs hatch some babies will crawl onto "mom" and ride around on her till they get bigger....some will just all spread out and start life....all depends.

I've seen a couple of spider babies (well hundreds at a time). Once our dog ran into some and had about 200 crawling around on her... fast lil bastards. Another time we had a web on the porch and one day it was full of lil spiders (once again tons and tons of them) and yes, some were kinda doing the bungee jump/ parachute thing down from the main web onto the porch itself.

africans, and yes the bigger babies(i did rescue 2 from the last time they had babies) and parents will eat the babies if they want to... i watched them get eaten before when cleaning out the tank and didnt know i had babies... thats why last night i scooped the 2 mommies out when i noticed they were broading.... i am going to hope that they all survive! since they are in their own tank....

anyways my buddy came over and snapped a few pix :) here they are!
