hi there, i recently lost the back end of my 88 supra turbo into a ditch filled with water... the engine stayed completely dry but the back passenger tire was submerged. When i finally got it pulled out and started driving it I noticed a wierd pattern change in shifting. If i keep it in Drive from a stop it moves very slowly like its in a higher gear. I can put it in 1st and its picks up like normal. Also when i manually shift through the gears i.e. 1st to 2nd to drive, it the rpms seem low in 2nd, like it is in 3rd? and Drive feels like overdrive... anyone have a problem like this?

forgot to mention that the overdrive buttton does nothing anymore

so i tried to pull codes but not getting any. when doing engine codes, the light flashes telling me everything is okay (i hope). when checking the transmission codes, the o/d light doesnt flash at all. my overdrive light works but the gear itself doesnt engage. im going to go get the tranny flushed and see if that does anytihng

Antilock light means something else is messed up. Does your speedo work?

Jack it up and look around, a tranny flush isn't going to do anything if it's electical (which it's acting like it is).

yeah speedometer works, im going to bleed the brake lines later on to see if that gets rid of the antilock light.

Antilock light means an issue with the sensors, not with the brake fluid...

i checked the transmission for lose or broken wires, everything seemed fine. Im surprised that a bad wire could affect my transmission like that. Once i get access to some better equipment ill have a look again. read it could be a bad solenoid, ill try to check those out too. thanks for the help
