Auto Vs R154 Driveshaft Q..

Ive searched, but I am just wondering if the diameter of the driveshaft yokes on the auto and r154 are the same.. or if the auto one has a larger diameter.

I got the wrong drive shaft for my car (its to short) so im assuming its the auto one, but it will not slide in any farther than 2" on to the output shaft of the transmission.

Front driveshaft yoke is the same A/T and R154. Only the W58 is different.

So what would be stopping it from going in?

Will i have to buy a new exstension housing for my tranny?
