Hi Guys
So even though I'm going to install my r154 in a few months I wanted to make my a340e a bit more bearable. My transmission shifts erratically typically only at low speeds. Also when in D it seems to take of in 3rd.
- The overdrive light is flashing
Transmission throwing codes
61 Speed sensor No.2 (transmission)
62 Solenoid No.1 open or short circuit
64 Lockup Solenoid open or short circuit
- Ive replaced the speed sensor behind the dash - still have the problem.
- I've replaced all 3 solenoids(2 shift and 1 lockup) yesterday - still have the problem
I see that the other code ive pulled is 61 speed sensor no.2.
I was under the impression that speed sensor number 2 is used only for abs and since i don have abs it malfunctioning shouldn't be an issue.
- Am i wrong in thinking this or is replacing my no.2 speed sensor worthwhile?
- Should I investigate the speedo cables
- Should I investigate whether my harness may be the cause as it was custom made
also PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT I HAVE TO REMOVE THE TRANSMISSION PAN TO ACCESS MY NO.2 SPEED SENSOR,such a bitch to remove and put back - also I snapped a thread off one of the bolts when tightening it up so its going to be near impossible to remove the pan if I have to...
thanks in advance for any help , last major thing holding my car back
