Auto gearshift

I've searched the forum for this topic but have not found it. Here's the problem (not really a problem, just an annoyance). My automatic gear shifter is loose and wiggles freely back and forth. Now I test drove a lot of Supras prior to buying this one and all the autos had the same issue. I found an assembly in a junkyard that was still tight but have yet to buy it (engine first). So my question is, what the f*ck?

i believe its natural, because it does go back and forth alot and things happen...

Sounds like the shifter bushings. Fairly easy fix. This link provides all the details you should need.

Yep...it's the shifter bushing. Replaced mine and the slop is gone!

gear shift bushing indeed, changed mine, only took about half an hour, now it rock solid (for the most part)

Awesome. I'll pick up or order some bushings while getting my rear hatch stops. There's a bunch of smart mo-fo's here, appreciate it.
