Quick review then....
1)
Everybody will meet at Highland Mall (Macy's side) at 9:30am.
At which point, I will distribute route maps to everyone and will call ahead to County Line for a noon lunch.
Everyone at the mall should be present by 11am and we'll head out to County Line BBQ.
Any late-comers to the mall meet can use their maps to catch up with us at County Line.
2)
We'll be at the restaurant at noon...and depending on wait-time at lunch...we may be there until 12:30 before getting seated and eating. Which should get us out of there by anywhere from 1:00 to 1:30, in plenty of time to have daylight from County Line to the Chilli's parking lot for the actual cruise.
3) All things considered, at normal to above normal speeds...we should be at the Chili's turnaround spot by 4pm...5pm at the latest.
People can make a decision at that point whether it's too dark to go back via 1431/Lime Creek/2222.....or whether they want to take the safer route back down 281 to 71 back to Austin.
To me, and the rest of the folks helping me put this together, this seems like the most sensible plan.
In all honesty, as long as people follow their route maps, and just pay attention to the stopping points along the way...separation and chaos should be averted enough to make this a great cruise.
