Hi,
We dial indicated #1 piston for TDC to zero degrees and noted the 7M ATI damper sitting at 115 degrees. Ouch! This damper is new, out of the box. I'm planning to call ATI, to ask if we can just take the damper apart, clock it, then reassemble it, but first want to check here, to see if we are missing something... I'm stumped! :1zhelp: Van

Spoke w/John at ATI and he figures I was sent a damper w/the wrong hub. So ATI is flying the replacement hub 2nd day air from Maryland to Oregon, and appologized for the mess. Van

I agree... Although some at the shop thought ATI needed to send it next day air, another upped the anty and said ATI shouldn't have screwed up in the first place. None-the-less, I'm understanding, and happy to get the right part, rather then putting our own TDC mark on the damper. D

Your shop is kinda dumb since shit DOES happen and always will happen, it's how a company responds to the mistakes that is a true measure of them.

Me too. Do any other compare to the ATI?

Nobody makes a true dampener for the 7M besides ATI...

Serivce is key.

The off the shelf unit, you are not able to take it apart. If you order a custom one that is bigger, then a different story.

Duane,

umm who told ya that?

both off the shelf and bigger are rebuildable. They have to be for SFI inspection purposes. :)

Now with that said, by rebuildable I mean that. What I don't mean is that all it takes is a screwdriver and a pry bar. ATI has the tool kit for that on thier site.

Arent there power limits to the stock size ati damper as well?

Thats an outstanding response from ati,ive spent alot more money then that in the past and the company sent me parts for the wrong car. Long story short they basically told me to piss off..
