Well I pulled into work at 5:10. Got my clockin' badge, phone, got out locked the car and went into work.

Couple of hours later talking to a friend who's thinking bout getting wheels for lexus E350. I told him that I had mine rechromed and came out pretty nice. He heads up to the parking garage. I finish my break and head out to Casino. Well he's there waiting for me in my section. Ask's me "is your car running?"

I'm like no f..way. So I haul ass up there and sure enough the car's been running for 3 hours. LOL! My key is so old that I can pull it out while running and I forgot to shut it off thinking the turbo timer was keeping it going.

Guess I got pretty lucky there. Anyways I thought it was pretty funny!

LOL

My truck used to do that, but as I liked to go offroading, the keys would fall out and I'd have to find em to turn the damn thing off...

Have you tried having a new key made off the code?

I did that overnight in my underground parking...it was like 9 hours...:(

9 hours... ouch! No overheating I hope.

full tank of gas = how many hours at idle?

I agree was very lucky that no one messed with it. I'm still laughing about it.

lol, my first car the ignition key could come out as it was running. I took a turn hard once and the keys shot out and landed in the passenger footwell..

*Scratches head...* I thought the keys were supposed to be able to do that? I thought it was a Toyota thing cause my Grandma's Camry and a friend of mines Corolla do the same thing.... They are all kind of old though...

LOL..you are a very lucky person ;)

Although I have a timer, I wait for mine while getting ready to put other stuff away in garage and then I put my car to sleep.

Yea i was kind of wondering the same thing. How many hours can i keep it idling with a full tank of gas? haha and i used to be able to do that. My key would just come right out! But never kept it running by accident.
