Ashtray Cupholder 1987 Supra.

Hi Guys, there is a guy on ebay selling a 1987 Turbo 5spd, white with Burgundy Leather. In his pictures is shown an Ashtray Cupholder, that looks like a factory option.. I emailed him just to inquire about it as I have never seen one before. He answered that it was in the car when he bought it from the previous owner. He thinks it may have been an option for a later model. Have any of you guys ever seen or heard of this option or aftermarket item. I will try to post a pict.

Not an option. It looks a lot like the Cressida cup holder that popped out. Retrofit from something else. I have not laid eyes on the Cressida cup holder since....1993? See the big gaps on the side? That is because he took out the ash tray that it came with.
