7/16 studs? The 7M uses M12x1.25 threads for their studs. The latest spec sheet I've seen spec's torque at 80 ft/lbs using moly or 120 ft/lbs using motor oil for lube.

Sure you got the right studs?

have read of some that has torqued to 90 also

Doing that would be incorrect and raise the value into the safety margin ARP designs for it's studs. Don't do it.

Adjuster has the earlier version of the studs installed...it's spec was 81 ft/lbs using moly -or- 105 ft/lbs using 30W motor oil.
Want to guess which lube he used?

;)

BTW - the current spec is 80 ft/lbs using moly and 120 ft/lbs using 30W motor oil.

The reason for the difference between moly and oil is the friction reducing properties of moly...it allows for a much more accurate reading while producing the same clamping force sandwiching the HG between the block/head decks. One should always use moly if given a choice.
