Aristo ECU on 1JZ

I am seriously considering this swap but have some questions that I want to clarify. So for people that have done this please do chime in.

1-Will this ecu work on high impedance injectors? I have a sard 540cc direct drop in injectors.

2-I can get the adapter harness from Dr. Tweak and to convert it from seq to batch firing but want to know about the fuel pump since it will require a 2jz fuel pump ecu to turn it on. Or can I just wire the pump directly?

3-What is this ecu tuned for as far as injectors size and how high is the limit that you can tune with a piggyback?

4-I read somewhere that the aristo ecu rev limit is at 6400rpm?

5-And this ecu having better timing than a 1jz ecu?

Anything else that you can add please do so.

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes
2. No, Convert your harness for sequential.
3. Tuned for 440s. Due to the better timing control I'd say up to 680s-720s would be fine.
4. 6700 Rev limiter
5. Yes

The stock 6spd mkiv ecu has a 7000 rev limiter iirc for a bit more revs. Just get a VPC/Map ecu to convert to speed density.

hmm, mine goes to 7200

Okay sounds good. Have another questions.

Will the 1J map sensor work or should I upgrade to 2jz map? And what about the fuel pump, should I just wired it (12v mod) directly?

Thanks Justin.

The two aristo ecus I've had were 92-94, so maybe the laters had a higher rev limiter? (one was my old 2jz car I sold after taking the AEM off, the other was my buddy's old 1jz car with an aristo harness/ecu).

1jz Map sensor will work, the scale will be a TAD different, but a safc will tune that out.

For the fuel pump, I just ground the COR wire and have it on all the time w/ the key unfortunatly. DrTweak was selling a box that'd control it like stock, you could look into that.

Will the 2jz map sensor plug directly to the 1jz map connector?

Never mind found the answer.

Easiest way to get around rev limiter? Any info on getting rid of speed cut w/Auto Aristo ECU. (I've already tried both greddy and hks btw)

Rev limit and speed cut can be taken care of with a Speed for Sale tune, but it is almost the price of a standalone.

IIRC, cutting the speed sensor wire will still work however, just need to locate it on the pin out.

Mike I just called him. Doesn't do jdm. PERIOD.:3d_frown:

Aaron and I cut that wire when we met you in tx. didn't do a thing.

Manual or auto? If yours is manual and it worked by cutting the pink wire I would imagine it would work with mine using the Greddy speed cut controller. Well, there's only one way to find out ...

Why wouldn't the greddy sc work? Will it work on mine since I am not auto.

I'm pretty certain that just going 5speed will eliminate the speed cut. I couldn't do that, then I'd have to change my sig.:evil2:

I'm pretty sure thats the one we cut in tx and still had speed cut. If anyone would know it would be Aaron from Driftmotion.

I don't know of anyone other than Johnny running his gs300 with the aristo/auto that has got around the speed cut.

You'll need to cut or get a SCC or similar to get rid of the speed cut.

With an auto car you'll need a SCC as the ECU needs to know the speed to shift the gears.
