What do I need to drop this engine in my 89 MK3 Supra? I already have a 2jz with the 1jz bellhousing and r154 tranny, I was lucky enough to have the later style crossmember. Im aware that I need to convert to an electric water pump and also a rear sump oil pan due crossmember clearance issues. Anything else I should do while the engine is still out?

Anyone know where I can get a rear sump JZ series oil pan(upper.lower.etc.)?:1zhelp:

you dont need an electric water pump...

a USDM water pump is what you need since you wont be running the hydro fan

You will need the 2JZ or the JZA70 1jz oil sump.
Your Hydro fan should work fine in your MKIII.

you can buy the oil pans from toyota but it'll cost you

you can find them in the mkiv for sale section on SF

and you can always get a NA oil pan to save some money but you'll have to drill and tap a fitting for the oil return
