Well first of all I apoligize if this is the wrong forum.

Anyways, I habve recently purchased a 1990 MK3 from Japan with the 1jz. After getting this vehicle and checking the oil, and other things I find that the air filter is absolutely filthy. I called some local parts dealers around here and the air filter they have for 7m's are only 7 or so inches in diameter where mine is 9". My question is if anyone knows of or has a clean filter I can purchase. My search on the internet has brought up no results.

Ok i imagine your using the stock air filter/ box....???

Ditch that box and make/buy a nice 3-4in pipe or aftremkt one and slap a K&N Filter on there.....

either k&n or apexi, their n1 is a nice dry filter as opposed to hks's wet 'mushroom'

there should be a part # on the filter as well and if you call K&N they will tell you if you can still buy it or what not. I had to do this on my car and a custom cold air kit someone made and the replacement one was exact.

Get a K&N FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit), as already suggested. It's easily installed, easily maintained and adds a bit of power. Good product.
