so i started looking for jobs in the IT departed once again, i graduated tech school for network systems administrator back in september and i've yet to find a job in the field. im currently working in a computer warehouse but we also do tech stuff here, i really dont want to stay here for long even though the work isnt too bad and the pay isnt the worse. I just dont want the tech school debt seem for nothing. Im having a hard time paying certain bills and such.

SO who here is also unhappy with their job? if so what do you do and wat do u want to do?

I'm happy with my job. Less happy with my supervisor.

I'm trying to transfer to one of our other offices but he's keeping me there with the reason of "we need him, there's alot of work to do." So the supervisor at the other office doesn't want to step on anyone's toes. but as it is, my current office doesn't really have enough work to keep me busy for the 24 hours I have a week to work. Maybe there's alot of work coming up, but I can't really afford to sit in limbo waiting for that. I have bills to pay just like everyone else in the office.


I'm cutting back on excessive spending, but I shouldn't really have to.

I work at an engineering/hvac firm as an autocad drafter/warehouse guy. I should be getting paid more, but they like to treat their employee's like crap sometimes. But I guess it's okay because I waste their time for not recognizing me

only reason why i ask is because i would be happy if i got paid a little bit more and got some recognition, not to sound like dick but im a damn good worker, im on time i do wat im told and been here longer then other fuck ups.
I brought in a "ex-friend" of mine to work here and he does a bunch of easy shit and gets recognized for that, wtf? Im the one that takes initiative for my department to do better and more efficient work.

ah well, time for a new job.

I spose its time to come clean!!! As many of you know I was working for a college here in Fargo in admissions and I was really not all that happy. Well a little over a month ago I was called into the college Director's office and let go because of cutbacks ect. I had never been fired/let go before so I felt like a complete loser. Well this forced me to go out and find a new Job which is the best thing that could have happened to me. Well first I went to Alabama to see Suprahero, and then I found a new Job...:biglaugh:

I am currently working at a RV dealership here in Fargo as a service writer. I cant believe how much happier I am now. The job is really a great mix of business, customer service, and mechanics. All of which I enjoy!!! I truely am so much happier now.

Empera to tell you the truth I dont know how much longer I would have stayed at the college if they wouldnt have let me go. I probibly would have just continued being unsatisfied and depressed. If I learned anything from this its that we just need to find something that makes us happy. Dont get me wrong you need to be able to pay the bills also, but life is to short to feel how you are feeling. I wish you luck!!! :icon_bigg

yea theres gotto be a balance, i could be a manager at the liquor store right now if i would have stayed earning a nice amount but i couldnt stand the type of people we had to deal with.

job, im so so. could be better could be worse.

i say i changed jobs 5x in 3 years time frame. oh i forgot make that 6 im about to leave this one now. Just got another offer somewhere esle with 25% increase.
should i just leave and dont give them my 2 weeks. haha lolz
ill do the right thing and give them 2, just because of professional courtesy

I like my job.
Just don't like some of the new hires my manager hired.
And don't like the pay I'm getting.
It's a little far for me to drive with gas prices and only getting paid 9.50.
Especially when I've been here for over 8 months and only one raise.
And especially when one of the new hires is already getting more than me.
WTF!
Bullshit I tell ya!

I hate my job. I supervise a cash cage at a local casino, and have to deal with a whole lot of people with serious gambling problems who are all pissed off because "I" took their money. If it didn't pay so well, I would leave. I made a joke a few years back "They don't pay me enough to deal with this shit.....wait, yeah they do", and it's kind of stuck as our work motto :)

I just think, in a few years, I'll be done my Computer Engineering degree, debt free, and be able to move on to something I enjoy more, which makes me happy thinking about it.

On the plus side, the guy I work with most days bought a supra too, so we spend most of the shift talking supras.
