Are Turbo Automatic and Manual ECU's the same?

Is a turbo ecu necessary for a 7mgte?
Are Turbo Automatic and Manual ECU's the same?
If i am swapping a 7mge witha 7mgte will i need a new wiring harness?

ummm you can use an auto on a manual but not a manual on a auto. and harnesses will need to be changed.

turbo ecu is necessary on a 7mgte. and yes you will need a new wiring harness.. not too hard to find.

The engine ECU has outputs to the trans ECU for operation. You need those with the A340E automatic transmission.

You can use an Auto ECU on a Manual (I'm doing this) but not vice versa, and you have to use a GE ECU/Harness for a GE engine, and a GTE ECU/Harness for a GTE Engine. Keep in mind that the ECU/Wiring harness' changed mid 89. So if your Engine is a 86-88, You have to use an 86-88 Harness/ECU, And if your engine is an 89-92 You have to use an 89-92 Harness/ECU.
