Are my eyes deceiving me or are the MKIII's a perfect 50/50 weight distribution? Because on my door jamb plate it says mine is. lol. I love this little fact if it's true, because thats damn good for a slide machine, given i use some tie rod spacers to increase the maximum steering angle. I read on supraforums that s13/s14 Tein tie rod spacers will fit.

I was under the impression that it's a tiny bit front heavy, but yes, with all the parts in place (spare tire, etc) it's pretty close to 50/50

It's not that close to 50/50, that's for sure. Remember that these were designed for a right hand drive environment...

Move the battery to the passenger side rear, that will help.

Keep in mind that the door tag is referring to a full fuel tank, passengers, and cargo.

Its telling you the maximum load. These cars are more like 58/42

I had always thought the mkIII was at about 53/47. :dunno:

I thought people had actually taken it to a scale and it was pretty darn close to that 53/47 number.

LF: 970 lbs. RF: 943 lbs.
LR: 842 lbs. RR: 839 lbs.

Weight Distribution:
Front: 53.2%
Rear: 46.8%

Corner Weight:
LF to RR: 50.3%
RF to LR: 46.8%

I was gonna say to just take it and have it corner-weighted...but then theKnifeArtist kinda beat me to that. If you DO have it corner-weighted, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it better to have it weighted with the equivalent of the driver's weight on the driver's side? This was also supossed to be the best setup for aligning the suspension with regard to autocross racing...but, as I said, please correct me if I'm wrong on this...
