Does anyone here actually have headers on there 7MGE? i mean, the stock manifolds look pretty capable but I was just wondering if dropping $200 would be worth it and when i say worth it I mean 10+ HP

I have a Pacesetter header that was ceramic coated. Sounds tight and alot more preformance @3000 rpm+. For sure it's worth it! Yeah, it does look cooler than stock LOL.

I have the OBX headers and midpipe and i noticed a gain, they also give you a better tone to your exhaust. they also weigh next to nothing compared to the stock. So id say it was worth it

I don't have a header (yet!!), but I think anything the removes restrictions from the system is always going to be a good thing for performance!

I would say if you can get it cheap enough go ahead, but IMO it's not really that noticable of a difference. You will notice a small change in mid and top end but not enough to really warrant spending too much on it. I used to have an N/A with a pacesetter. So I guess it really depends on what else you plan on doing.

The biggest bang for the buck is to replace the lower section of the header with a full 2.5" pipe. We custom make those for about $150.

The full header has more potential in the top end, but at the top of the powerband. I was able to see the difference in a header vs stock when I attempted a top speed run and was able to go 18MPH faster with a tubular header vs a stock header.

I bought headers but never installed it. I forget what the brand was. I took it out of the box, looked at the stock mani, and decided it looked almost identical to the stock mani. The only big difference was that you had to weld the collector on the header.

So I never installed it.
