Are 264/264 Cams worth getting with my set-up?

What's going on guys? Of course, I've done plenty of searching but I like to get updated feedback from you guys (Cuz I value your opinions so much :naughty: ). I've decided to purchase a set of 264/264 cams. My question is, is it really worth it and will I notice a difference? This is my current set-up"

Re-built motor with 3k miles
-Re-balanced crank
-Race-Prep Rods
-.40 JE Pistons/ Rings
-Titanium Valve Springs & Retainers
-2.0mm HKS Stopper HG
-Stainless Steel Valves
-Level 5 Frankenstein Greddy TD06-20g (Garrett E60 Compressor Wheel/Flows 750 CFM) on ebay manifold
-Port & Polished Intake manifold
-Ported Throttle Body (64.6mm, Duane's old set-up)
-680cc Injectors, Walpro etc......

So, is it really worth it? I'm just trying to squeeze everything I can from this set-up, however, I'm also trying to do it right. Which is why it's taken me so long. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

I am no cam expert, but Im sure it will yield you some nice hp gains on the top end. I would say youd see even more benefit if you increase the rev limit.

Wow alright. That's good to know. I'm hoping these will increase bottom end a little, but not affect spool time all that much.....

You will lose a little on the bottom and some spool time depending on what centerline the cams are on and what kind of overlap they have.

You should look into going staggered. Check the results on SF. It's nuts how large the gains are and how much bigger the powerband is when going staggered.

I just got back from taking OutofStep's advice & looking into the staggered setups over on that 'other' forum.

I'm confused a bit because I see most of the Jellybean Supra guys are going with the Intake Cam as the larger one, and I always thought it was usually the other way around.

Would anyone elaborate a little on the how's & why's of the staggered cam setup? I didn't find much useful info over there - just that so&so got XX more horsepower over stock out of this setup or that, but there's not really any good comparison between this upgraded cam vs. that upgraded cam. I'd appreciate if someone could help me understand the basics a little.

it is quite simple actually

the longer duration intake allows for the maxium cramming of air in the cylinder as possible.

The exhaust on the other hand is pressurized alot after the combustion process. the lower duration exhaust cam allows for the exhaust gases to escape with out reversion taking place which is why on turbo cars overlap sucks. This also has a side benefit of leting the turbo spool quicker as velocity and volume is what helps the turbo spin.
