If so, share your opinion on the paint quality and any pics that you have.

I'm looking to repaint my 4 wheels asap. Thanks.

I used it on the plastic centercaps, matched the gunmetal powdercoat really well. I can't speak to the quality or how it lasts though, car isn't on the road yet.

I used hi-temp engine paint on mine. No need for primer, more durable and drys faster. They came out great. 2 cans did the job.

I have the same rims as soulstar (came with the car). The clear was screwed so I sanded them, taped the lip, and painted the spokes graphite (duplicolor). They look really really good...but I don't have it on the road

I'm in the process of repainting the 5 spokes with the Duplicolor paint. I've read where some people have had problems with it chipping, etc. but I also found someone who repainted their wheels with Duplicolor and had great results.

When I was searching for a painting guide, I came across this link: http://www.yotatech.com/f2/painting-wheels-dupli-color-wheel-paint-63124/

In his post (it's from 2 years ago), he said that it had been three years since he painted them and they still looked great. I wanted to sign up on that site to ask him how they still were, but their registration is closed.

I would like to get mine powdercoated but I can't afford that right now, so I'm going to see how this holds up. I daily drive my car, so hopefully this won't turn bad quickly. I've done a lot of prep work on them, so hopefully that will pay off in the end.

I'll let you know how mine turn out.

On my old supra, I used aircraft remover to strip the existing rim paint, and then used duplicolor on them. I put on both the gunmetal and the clear rim paint. The first rim I did I made the mistake of using self-etching primer on it. The other three were just painted with the rim paint. After almost 2 years the rim that had been primered was chipping, but the other 3 had little to no signs of wear.

When I painted my wheels (the second time), I decided to use clear coat, because they kinda discolored and chipped the first time.

Six months later I can say they have definitely held up much better with the clearcoat. So I'd clearcoat them for sure.
